What if retailers did this for all purchases, not just guns?

What if retailers did this for all purchases, not just guns? would it make you think twice if the label and the sales rep gave you info about the not-so-nice life history of your purchase item?

Tobacco products have known significant negative health impacts and tobacco companies are challenging plain packaging laws worldwide to protect their sales and profit. Other industries use products in a way which also have adverse effects on our health, should legislation exist for them too?

Where does the responsibility exist? is it..
– with the population to eat healthy and stay healthy?
– with corporations to operate ethically and with their consumers health in mind?
-with Governments to ensure that corporations and people act responsibly to allow health and other public services more resources to focus on the existing workload?

First campaign shirt arrived! Looking for a local company for further prints!

My first campaign shirt arrived in the post on Friday, ordered through VistaPrint, they’re very efficient but they’re not local.
Can anyone recommend a Brisbane based company to get shirts through so I can keep it local and help small/family owned business?

Cigarettes, plain packaging and legal challenges

Australia introduced plain packaging laws in December, 2012 (1), statistics show a decrease in cigarette sales and tobacco companies are still pursuing legal challenges against plain packaging laws.

Federal Health negotiated with big tobacco companies about a voluntary agreement to list the contents of cigarettes. The ingredients (2) lists an interesting mix of chemicals but doesn’t provide explanitary notes about them.

If the proposed ban (3) is enacted would other states follow? and what lengths would tobacco companies go to challenge it?

Could this be to do with our plain packaging laws which the big tobacco companies are fighting hard against?
